So you've decided to leave your suitcase of knowledge behind. Going fast down the road nothing looks familiar anymore. It feels, deeply, as if nothing is what it seems, but you can't quite pin point why, or what makes it this way. What's worse, the mind is playing only static. It seems frantic, desperate. Something BIG is going on...but what? You may get glimpses when you manage to turn the mind off, with a magnificent landscape, or meditation, but in any attempt to turn it on, to tune into to it again, the static continues on.
The mind is like a FM transmitter. It is there to transmit information. If you depend on the mind to find the answers, it's going to look for a station to transmit. The mind is not an enemy, a friend, or a wise father. It is a transmitter of your emotions, observation, thoughts, a cataloger of your sensory experience. The mind is tuned in to wherever you put it. If your focus and perceptual abilities are limited to what appears in front of you, to your emotions, and thoughts it will do with that it's been given.
Stop the car. Lay down. Watch all mental activity. Observe. With Breathe release your self from what is going on. Bring your mind into a calmer state. Breathe. Release. Breathe. Release. Remind the mind it is not in control, you are not in control. Nothing is. Nothing. Sink into this release of control. Watch how your mind drops the intent of trying to find the answers, and begins to allow transmission. Visuals, words, emotions, may arise, allow them to. Be the vessel that allows Life through.
Sit and listen to that station for a while. Drive with it. Observe with it. See what pops up.
